This career outfit is for Barbie as a fashion designer.
1. Blouse halter top body blouse, bow at neckline, red and white stripe, button loop needs repair
2. Skirt, good snaps
3. Jacket, red and white stripe partial lining
4. "Barbie R fashion designer" Black Portfolio with String Ties (missing drawings)
5. Blue Denim Belt Lined in Red
6. navy open toe shoes (with holes in sole)
7. Blue Denim open crown hat (like a visor)
As is customary, the black and white Barbie T.M. by Mattel label is stitched into only one piece of the outfit, the jacket.
Condition: Good original vintage condition.
Not currently available from the outfit: fashion sheets, black-rimmed glasses
A family member is the original owner who played with these items in 1958-1963. Barbie’s fashion clothes have been in storage since the 1960s. After researching various sources, I elected not to wash or dry clean the clothing so that buyers have the option of doing so. Collectors have specific restoration preferences and I do not want to disappoint anyone. I will answer questions to the best of my knowledge & ability within a week.
