The Mattel booklet describes the strapless summer dress as a "play dress" with "contrasting ribbons" which "accent the empire line." The white stripes have suffered some vintage yellowing, but the blue stripes are vibrant. The ribbons are yellow and orange. Possible stain is pictured. Not pictured are the available white shoes.
As is customary, the black and white Barbie T.M. by Mattel label is stitched into only one piece of the outfit, the dress.
Condition: Good original vintage condition. Some stains as shown in pictures. I am the original owner (unless noted) who played with these items in 1958-1963. Barbie’s fashion clothes have been in storage since the 1960s. After researching various sources, I elected not to wash or dry clean the clothing so that buyers have the option of doing so. Collectors have specific restoration preferences and I do not want to disappoint anyone. Descriptions provide information and photographs are displayed of any damage such as staining or tears, if any. I will answer questions to the best of my knowledge & ability.
